PostSubject: The Sims Social Lives On... In Chinese :/ NOW DUE FOR CLOSURE TOO   Thu May 02, 2013 8:36 am

EA may have announced the closure of The Sims Social for Facebook but the game lives on (for now) in chinese.

EDIT: Thursday 27th June, 2013
Regular players of the Chinese Sims Social, or Simulation Time, will already know this; But this game has also been given it's marching orders.
Link to the thread here - you'll need to translate it of course!!
The bog-standard message that we were given for the English version.
Visit the forum to view the entire thread.

This information has come from The Sims Social Club (TSSC), although the knowledge that the chinese version of the game has been around for a while now.

You must first register an account with QQ using this link: http://zc.qq.com/en/index.html?from=pt
You'll be redirected to a page that looks like this:

Just like you couldn't play The Sims Social without a Facebook account... nor can you play this game without a QQ account. QQ is a chinese equivalent to Facebook  Wink

Next, you can click this link to actually go to the chinese App page for Sims Social - the page will be in chinese though, obviously! Their version is not called Sims Social, it's called Simulation Time. http://rc.qzone.qq.com/myhome/28926#!app=28926&via=QZ.HashRefresh
The page looks like this:

Using the Firefox Browser, you can translate the chinese page into any language you need simply by adding a Firefox Add-On. Go to Firefox's Add-ons page, and search for a translator or page translator.

In Google Chrome, the ability to translate the page should be automatic - in that you'll be asked if you wish to translate:
Simply click TRANSLATE.

This is how that same App page looks in English:

Please be advised that although the app page will translate into any language you desire, the actual game will still run in chinese!  Crying or Very sad

Click to ENTER THE APPLICATION...

As per our regular Sims Social, you can name your sim, choose skin colour and personality. Click the "rotating arrows" button to randomise. Click the "pencil" to customise your sim yourself (clothes, hair, etc.). Click the green "plumbob" button to start.

I have completed the tutorial and uploaded it to YouTube:

This is the I'VE MOVED IN wallpost:

In the video I clicked to SHARE it. It is posted onto your QQ wall, where it looks like this:

With thanks to Gerald PoochieCuzz Evans, for providing me the link to the Simulation Time forums.

Remember, this page will be in chinese, so you'll need to use a translator Wink
